Okra Pulusu | Bendakaya Pulusu

Okra Pulusu/Bendakaya Pulusu - It is famous recipe in south Indian homes. It is known as Bendakaya in telugu, Vendakkai in Tamil, Bendekayi in kannada.

This recipe is the most easiest pulusu recipe which can be made in just 10mins. Normally for gravy recipes like pulusu recipes I prefer cooking in pressure cooker.

Okra pulusu takes less time in pressure cooker than when it is cooked separately. Okra is cooked in tamarind juice and taste is enhanced more if jaggery is added to it.

Generally for okra fry we need more quantity but for okra pulusu recipe just with 1/4kg we get more quantity curry.
