In this recipe post I'll share 27 variety dosa toppings. These all can be made with simple dosa batter with small changes in the toppings. we can make 100's of variety Dosa toppings. Let's start from preparing dosa batter.

For Dosa Batter

Ingredients Required

  • Uraddal - 2 cups
  • Rice - 4cups
Rice can be added of your choice, no particular rice is needed. whatever you use for daily usage can be added. Soak both rice and uraddal for about 6hrs. 6hrs later grind it into soft batter in the grinder or mixer. Then ferment for about 8hrs or overnight. Fermentation helps batter promote essential amino acid methionine, elevating the final product's protein level..

After 8hrs dosa batter is ready to use. Add required salt based on your taste and mix all together by adding water into it. And get into flowing consistency. Now we can make dosas. Let's get into 1st dosa topping. Lets start with easy dosa.

Dosa 1


Spread Dosa on hot pan and add Onion, mirchi on top of it and spread oil on dosa and let cook for 2mins



Dosa 2

Spread Dosa on hot pan and add carrot,Onion, mirchi on top of it and spread oil on dosa and let cook for 2mins


Dosa 3

Spread Dosa on hot pan and add maggie masala, carrot,Onion, mirchi on top of it and spread oil on dosa and let cook for 2mins


Dosa 4

Spread Dosa on hot pan and add lays, carrot,Onion, mirchi on top of it and spread oil on dosa and let cook for 2mins


Dosa 5

Spread Dosa on hot pan and add maggie masala on top of it and spread oil on dosa and let cook for 2mins



Dosa 6

Add grated carrot into dosa batter,Spread Dosa on hot pan, add Onion and sprinkle red chilli powder on top of it and spread oil on dosa and let cook for 2mins, and this dosa should be fried on both sides


Dosa 7

Add grated carrot into dosa batter,Spread Dosa on hot pan, add Onion and sprinkle black pepper powder on top of it and spread oil on dosa and let cook for 2mins, and this dosa should be fried on both sides.


Dosa 8


Spread Dosa on hot pan and add Nallakaram, onion, carrot on top of it and spread oil on dosa and let cook for 2mins



Dosa 9


Spread Dosa on hot pan and add Curry leaves powder(karvepaku karam), tomato, onion on top of it and spread oil on dosa and let cook for 2mins


Dosa 10

Spread Dosa on hot pan and add chanadal powder(Senagapappu karam), onion, coriander leaves on top of it and spread oil on dosa and let cook for 2mins


Dosa 11

Spread Dosa on hot pan and add Groundnuts powder(pallikaram), onion, carrot, grated coconut, coriander leaves on top of it and spread oil on dosa and let cook for 2mins


Dosa 12,13,14,15

Spread Dosa on hot pan and simply add NallakaramCurry leaves powder(karvepaku karam), Roasted chanadal powder(Senagapappu karam)Peanuts powder(pallikaram)  on top of it and spread oil on dosa and let cook for 2mins


Dosa 16

Spread Dosa on hot pan and add chilli flakes, origano on top of it and spread oil on dosa and let cook for 2mins


Dosa 17

Spread Dosa on hot pan and add tomato, green chillies, coriander leaves, grated coconut on top of it and spread oil on dosa and let cook for 2mins



Dosa 18

For this dosa we need a paste. So for preparing paste add oil into heated pan, add 1tsp cumin seeds, 1 chopped onion, and fry till onion is transparent. Then add them into mixi jar and add 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp red chilli powder and grind into fine paste.


Now Spread Dosa on hot pan and add grounded paste, copped tomatoes, coriander leaves on top of it and spread oil on dosa and let cook for 2mins


Dosa 19

For this we need a paste. So add handful of amaranthus leaves, 2 green chillies finely chopped, 1/2tsp salt, a small ginger piece, little coriander leaves and grind to fine paste.

Now mix this paste into dosa batter, spread dosa and add onion, grated carrot on top of it and spread oil on dosa and let cook for 2mins




Dosa 20


For this we need carrot paste. Just add chopped carrot into mixi jar and grind to fine paste.


Now mix this paste into dosa batter, spread dosa and add onion, green chillies on top of it and spread oil on dosa and let cook for 2mins


Dosa 21

For this we need beetroot paste. Just add chopped beetroot into mixi jar and grind to fine paste.


Now mix this paste into dosa batter, spread dosa and add grated carrot, onion, coriander leaves on top of it and spread oil on dosa and let cook for 2mins


Dosa 22

For this dosa maggie is to be prepared 1st.

  1. So add oil into heated pan.
  2. Add chopped onion, grated carrot, chopped green chillies, chopped tomato and let them cook completely
  3. Now add 1 cup water and let boil.
  4. Add 1/2tsp salt and mix
  5. Add 1 pack maggie and cook completely.
Spread Dosa on hot pan and add maggie on top of it and spread oil on dosa and let cook for 2mins

Dosa 23

Spread Dosa on hot pan and add boiled sweet corn, green chillies, grated coconut on top of it and spread oil on dosa and let cook for 2mins

Dosa 24

Spread Dosa on hot pan and add egg on top of it,spread it all over dosa, sprinkle pepper powder and add oil on dosa and let cook for 2mins on both sides.


Dosa 25

Spread Dosa on hot pan and add egg on top of it,spread it all over dosa, sprinkle some salt and red chilli powder and add oil on dosa and let cook for 2mins on both sides.


Dosa 26

For this dosa we need a paste. So for preparing paste add oil into heated pan, add 1tsp cumin seeds, 1 chopped onion, and fry till onion is transparent. Then add them into mixi jar and add 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp red chilli powder and grind into fine paste.


Spread Dosa on hot pan and add onion paste, egg on top of it,spread it all over dosa, and add oil on dosa and let cook for 2mins on both sides.


Dosa 27

For this dosa add chopped onion, green chillies, grated carrot, 1/2tsp salt, 1/2tsp red chilli powder, 1 egg and mix all together.

Spread Dosa on hot pan and add egg mixture on top of it,spread it all over dosa, and add oil on dosa and let cook for 2mins on both sides.
