Drumstick Egg Curry


In this article, I’ll share how to prepare drumstick egg curry. 

Drumstick Egg Masala Curry is a South Indian recipe.

There are numerous ways to cook eggs and while preparing a gravy or curry, vegetables like drumsticks or ridgegourd are added for variation and flavor. This mildly spiced curry is a simple straightforward recipe with hardly any spices going into it.

 Boiled eggs and drumsticks are cooked in sauteed onions, garlic and tomatoes and spiced with red chilli pwd and a good amount of fresh curry leaves are added for an enhanced aromatic flavor. Makes a satisfying curry with white rice or hot rotis. You can have a look on more Egg Recipes

Ingredients Required
  • Drumstick – 2
  • Eggs – 3
  • Onion – 2 chopped
  • Green chillies – 3 chopped
  • Tomato – 1 chopped
  • Oil – 2tbsp
  • Mustard seeds – 1tsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1tsp
  • Salt – 2tsp
  • Red chilli powder -2tsp
  • Turmeric – 1/2tsp
  • Milk – 1/2cup
  • Curry leaves
Preparation
  1. Boil eggs and peel off the layer and keep them aside
  2. Add oil to heated pan
  3. Add red chillies, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves and fry them
  4. Add chopped onion and mirchi and fry for 2mins
  5. Add drumstick pieces, close lid and cook for 3 to 4mins
  6. Add chopped tomatoes and mix
  7. Add salt, turmeric and mix all together
  8. Add 1/2cup water and cook till drumstick is cooked perfectly by closing with lid
  9. Mix frequently while cooking
  10. Add red chilli powder and mix
  11. Add boiled eggs and mix
  12. Add boiled milk and cook for 5mins
  13. Drumstick egg curry is ready to serve
