There are so many Indian recipes, that can be served as both, Breakfast and Tea Time snack such as Poha, Upma, Sandwich etc. This is one snack recipe that can be served as breakfast or tea time snack.

One of easy ingredients to experiment when it comes to breakfast and snacks, is Sooji or Rava. You can check more Sooji Recipes

Now lets get into this snack recipe. I am sharing my Youtube video here so it would be easy for you to follow.

Ingredients Required
  • Sooji(Ravva) - 1cup
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2tsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2tsp
  • Oil for deep fry
  • Green chillies - 2 chopped
  • Onion - 1 chopped
  • Salt - 2tsp
  • Water - 2cup
  • Pepper powder - 1tsp
  • Potato - 1
  • Rice flour - 1cup or required
Preparation
  1. Add 2tsp oil into a heated pan.
  2. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, chopped onion and green chillies and fry
  3. Add 2 cups water, salt, pepper powder and mix.
  4. Let water boil, then add sooji and keep stirring.
  5. Cook till sooji is separated from pan.
  6. Turn off the stove and transfer sooji dough into a plate and let cool for sometime.
  7. Now grate 1 potato and mix with sooji dough.
  8. Add rice flour not at a time, keep adiing by mixing the dough.
  9. Finally prepare like chapathi dough.
  10. Now apply oil on both hands, take a small part of dough and make cylindrical shape long.
  11. Cut into desired shape or as shown in the above pic. Make all ready so that we can deep fry at a time.
  12. Now add them into hot oil for deep fry and the flame to be in medium.
  13. Finally sooji snack is ready to serve.
