Cauliflower Tomato Masala Curry | Cauliflower Tomato Curry For Chapathi & Poori

 


Cauliflower tomato curry for chapathi or poori is a delicious Indian style vegetarian curry made using cauliflower, tomatoes & spices! Fresh cauliflower is cooked in a tomato & spices gravy with turmeric, cumin, garam masala etc to make a delicious Indian style vegetarian cauliflower masala or cauliflower curry.

Other than using it as a side dish with Indian breads like chapathi, poori, naan bread etc, you can also enjoy it with brown rice or white rice for an easy, delicious Indian style vegetarian meal for dinner or lunch.

Ingredients Required
  • Cauliflower - 1
  • Tomatoes - 4
  • Onion - 2
  • Green chillies - 3
  • Oil- 3tbsp
  • Red chillies - 2
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2tsp
  • Curry leaves
  • Salt - 2tsp
  • Turmeric- 1/2tsp
  • Cloves - 3
  • Cinnamon - 3
  • Coriander powder - 1tsp
  • Garam masala - 1/2tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1tsp
  • Red chilli powder - 2tsp
  • Kasuri methi - 1/2tsp(optional)
  • Coriander leaves
Preparation
  1. Add cauliflower chopped into hot water and let it cook for 10mins, so that if there are any worms it will be worm free.
  2. Transfer into a strainer and keep aside.
  3. Now add 2 onion chopped into a mixi jar, grind to fine paste and keep aside.
  4. Then make 4 tomatoes puree and keep it aside.
  5. Now to start the curry process add 3tbsp oil into a heated pan.
  6. Add cloves, cinnamon, cumin seeds, curry leaves and let fry
  7. Now add chopped green chillies and fry.
  8. Add grounded onion paste and saute till colour changes.
  9. Add ginger garlic paste and saute for a minute.
  10. Now add tomato puree and mix all together.
  11. Add salt, turmeric powder and mix, close lid and cook till tomato is cooked perfectly.
  12. Now add red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and saute for 2 to 3mins.
  13. Now add cauliflower pieces and mix all together.
  14. Add 1/2 cup water and mix.
  15. Close lid and cook for 10mins in medium heat.
  16. Frequently open and sate in between.
  17. Add kasuri methi and mix.
  18. Finally garnish with coriander leaves.
  19. Cauliflower tomato masala curry is ready to serve.
