In this article, I’ll share how to prepare tutti fruitti at home with watermelon. 

A sweet and colourful confectionery candied fruit mainly prepared from the raw papaya’s or from the choice of berries. it is generally used for toppings in ice creams, desserts or cakes without any individual recipes from it. Generally, these candied fruits come in bright red colour, green and yellow colour.

Generally many prepare this tutti fruitti using raw papaya. But now i'm preparing using water melon. Lets checkout the recipe. I am sharing my Youtube video here so it would be easy for you to follow.
Ingredients
  • Water Melon -1 (3cups pieces of white part)
  • Sugar – 1 and 1/4th cup
  • Water – 1 and 1/4th cup
  • Food Colours of your choice
Method
  1. Chop water melon and remove top layer and the red part we can eat or make juice. With the middle white part we will prepare tutti fruitti
  2. Chop that white part into equal size pieces like tutti fruitti
  3. Measure tutti fruitti and keep them aside, based on that we need to take sugar
  4. Add water on the stove and add tutti fruitti and cook for 5 to 6mins in medium flame
  5. Mean while on the other stove add 1 and 1/4th cup sugar( for 3cups tutti fruitti) and add 1 and 1/4th cup water for sugar syrup
  6. After 5mins tutti fruitti turns transparent, then add them into sugar syrup after sugar dissolved completely and cook for 5mins
  7. It becomes soft after cooked perfectly
  8. Off the stove and add them into different bowls based on your colours number and add food colours each one into each bowl and mix
  9. Now squeeze extra syrup gently and transfer each colour tutti fruitti into different plates and dry under sun for 3hrs or full day till they are dried.
  10. After completely dried can be stored for months and used in cakes, ice creams etc.
